The 33rd Congress of the International Committee of the History of Art CIHA2012 takes place in Middle Franconian Nuremberg, the second largest city in Bavaria (population 500,000+). With its more than 30 museums, the two main churches of St. Lorenz and St. Sebald, the medieval castle complex and numerous other places and sights of interest, the Franconian metropolis offers ideal conditions for cultural tours of discovery.  Further information about Nuremberg, its attractions and distinctions is available here.

The Congress venue is the Nuremberg Convention Center (NCC) which offers optimal facilities for lectures, presentations, the book fair and the poster exhibition.  Conveniently located on the south side of the city, it can be reached from the Old Town and the Nuremberg main station in a few short minutes by Underground (U-Bahn Line U1, Messe Station).  The timetable for the underground is available here. Further information about the Nuremberg Convention Center can be found here.
