Call for Papers
The 2012 CIHA Conference wishes to address the “object” as the central theme of art history. With its 21 sections pertaining to genre, period, media, and interdisciplinary themes, an opportunity is provided to expand the relatively narrow confines of “classic” art history into as many as 400 lectures. New terms of the object and of the original shall be discussed – against the backdrop of current developments that correspond to contemporary demands upon the subject and afford broader perspectives than traditional ways of thinking. Contributions, especially those with innovative approaches, are welcome from all areas of art and cultural history in the broadest sense. The panels invite papers from across cultures. Innovative approaches are welcome.
